There is more to Thailand than luxury hotels, pool bars and beach parties… I’ve visited this beautiful country once before, visiting important monuments and temples. I had stayed in a luxury hotel and explored the local surroundings, but I felt something was missing. There wasn’t an opportunity to meet the local people, nor did I immerse myself in the local culture. There was a feeling that I wanted more!!
On my 40th birthday, following lots and lots of parties, I celebrated my actual birthday with my family. I couldn’t think of a better way to finish off all the celebrations than a beautiful meal with my favourite people in the world! Family are so precious to me and I am so lucky to have an amazing group of people that I am related too!
We left Port Elizabeth behind – which I am glad about as the last couple of days doesn’t really compare to the start of our trip. We travelled along the coast to the Tsitsikamma National Park, famed for its indigenous forests and rugged coastline, and known as the ‘garden of the Garden Route’.
Day 6… We left Ghost Moutain, really didn’t want to leave, our favourite so far! We headed to St Lucia via the elephant coast of KwaZulu-Natal located about 240 kilometers from Durban at the southern extremity of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park. A world heritage site, its estuary has one of the highest concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in southern Africa.
Gorgeous Sophia Marie born 13th August, her first shoot at 7 weeks old. Rachael & Jon very proud parents of their perfect little girl, she is super chilled just like Mummy and Daddy. Ray and Jon are good friends of ours, being able to capture special moments like these popping around for a cuppa are just priceless, for me and for them hopefully! Also got a few cheeky shots of big brother Wills, some of which were from a BBQ a little earlier on in the year. Beautiful children who I am absolutely love spending time with, Will’s is a such an amazing little character. Sophia is a lucky girl to have such a fab big brother who will look after her forever more 🙂 Sxxx
Another gorgeous family shoot for the Taylor’s! Last shoot was Christmas 2013, Ava was only a baby in arms! Enjoy every second with your children, they grow up so quick. Noah and Ava are always fabulous to take pictures of as are Chris and Tracey, all naturals in front of the camera. Although we do try to make it fun to get the best most natural smiles instead of forced staged shots! I absolutely love all these images, natural light, lifestyle photography – perfect! Sxx
A few snaps of Oscar and his little brother Zach! We’ve done a few shoots of Oscar – you will see them earlier on in my blog. Oscar is growing into such an amazing little character and is a very proud big brother to Zach. Both very cute little boys, check out Oscar’s amazing blonde locks – don’t ever get it cut mummy! Beautiful family Sxx
